Monday morning blues!

I always wake up with a groan on a Monday morning as I face the week ahead and its five early starts... However, the time passes so quickly that it's Friday before we know it!

Sophie had a week free from meetings so she went off to the gym and Keith took me to work as we needed to go to Tesco in the afternoon. Work was OK, but the third girl that Sara has taken on to help out on a Monday went home sick again. I think she's worked just one full shift on a Monday!

At 2pm Keith and I went over to the Weston Favell Centre and did some shopping before going down to Abington Park. We went to the Park Cafe and sat outside for a while. The weather was a bit grey but at least it was dry! We wandered through the aviary on the way back to the car and saw some huge rats again. Mike later told us it's almost impossible to get rid of them as they can't put poison down or trap them because of the birds.

We collected Mike and drove home where it was time to catch up with some chores before relaxing. Our plumber came around to sort out the leak in the bathroom and managed to stop it, so that was a relief. He was a very amenable man and I'm looking forward to him transforming our bathroom in the Autumn!

Sophie has become addicted to Love Island at the moment but she found time to watch Big Little Lies with me before disappearing upstairs to feed her fix!
