A gentle walk

Keith and I haven't walked for ages so this morning, as I had a letter to post and no stamps to post it with, we walked down to the village post office as a way of getting back into doing some exercise.

It was a mildish day and we saw lots of daffodils sprouting up. Is Spring on the way already? It felt great to be out in the fresh air and although it didn't take us long, it was good to be doing some gentle exercise again. Keith has decided to give up alcohol for February (it is the shortest month after all!) and really wanted to get back into his daily walks.

When we were back at home I took the plunge and decided to enrol on a distant learning course to do a Level 3 qualification in Counselling. Hopefully the pack will arrive this week and I can make a start!

Sophie asked me to collect her early from university and after I'd picked her up we popped to the bank to sort out her new card. I had been worried that it hadn't arrived but she needed to see one of the staff to give a specimen signature so it should be all sorted now.

We then drove to see Mum and Dad so Sophie could tell them all about her trip to New York. They were thrilled to see her and we had a very enjoyable hour sipping tea, eating biscuits and talking about Sophie's trip.

In the evening Keith didn't go to the pub so it was a rare treat to not have to go out again to pick him up. Wonderful!
