Just pottering!

The latest feathered addition to our family was still around this morning, and although we looked on the homing pigeon website, it said we had to catch the bird and try and read the leg ring. Although the pigeon ate out of my hand last night, this morning he was being very evasive! We hoped that, after a rest, he would fly home!

Sophie and I had planned to go out today but we abandoned that idea and decided to go tomorrow instead. Mike called us to pick him up at about 9.30am, and then he asked to go to McDonald's for breakfast. The drive-thru queue was very long so we didn't get home until past 10am.

The weather has been very wet today and chilly. May is turning out to be disappointing - it's usually one of my favourite months!

After Sophie and I had had a quick breakfast, we drove over to the post office at Brixworth to post the jeans, and that was it for our trips out today! We stayed at home for the rest of the day and enjoyed pottering about and relaxing, which included face masks lying on the bed!

At 5pm we played Scrabble and had two cocktails! We tried something different this evening - one made with fruit juice, gin and vermouth, and one made with the rhubarb vodka, but I don't think we'll be making them again!

Keith cooked a beef casserole for dinner and we started watching a disturbing film called Unhinged starring an almost unrecognisable Russell Crowe. It was very violent so we switched it off! Not a successful film night!
