The celebrations continue!

This morning we collected my Mum from home at 10.30 and drove to Woburn where I'd booked afternoon tea at the Woburn Coffee House. Our table was booked for 12.30pm but we arrived an hour early so we could have a mooch about the shops.

After the rain and grey skies of yesterday, today was gorgeous...

Lovely shop selling gifts and home decorations

We had a good look in an Antique shop followed by a mooch in a gorgeous shop selling home decorations and gifts. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon!

Our table at the Woburn Coffee House was in the Orangery at the back of the building.

A bottle of Prosecco was already on the table and my Mum was over the moon with the lovely setting.

We had been told about a party behind us but they weren't noisy or rowdy at all, as I had feared! We also had a group of women celebrating a baby shower and there was a lovely atmosphere.

Sophie had ordered a vegan afternoon tea and received a three tier stand, while Mum and I had a five tier stand to share. The food was out of this world and my Mum was very impressed!

The list of foods we had is too numerous to mention but full details are on the website, and the menu changes frequently. We enjoyed glasses of Prosecco and we all had a big pot of tea to drink as well.

At the end we were stuffed!

The afternoon tea at Woburn is not traditional - not a sandwich in sight! - but it was lovely and worth paying a bit extra as the staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

We drove back to Northampton and called into Homesense before going home as I was looking for a toothbrush holder for the bathroom. I found one upstairs and then we dropped Mum back.

The evening was spent doing very little!
