Today, work was a lot easier as there were three of us manning the phones, so even though we still took nearly 200 calls by 2pm, they were spread out a bit evenly! It was a much more pleasant day that I was expecting!
We didn't have to collect Mike from work today so we decided to head over to Kettering to do our Monday shop and went to Aldi for a change. We chose chicken in a red wine sauce for dinner and as soon as we returned home, Keith and I did all the prep. It took ages as we chopped up loads of vegetables!
Sophie had heard from her insurance company today that an independent assessor was coming out on Thursday to inspect the damage to her car from the prang she had back in July. It will mean that her car has to be at home all day, which will cause a few problems!
Mike arrived home with his friend Charlie, who had picked Mike up from Abbie's house in his Mum's (almost) brand new car! I just couldn't imagine Mike driving mine! They disappeared off to Brixworth where Charlie was hosting a barbecue so that left just the three of us for dinner! There was loads left over, as usual!
After dinner Sophie and I watched Remarkable Places to Eat. I'm glad we watched it after dinner as the food featured made my mouth water!
