Post frustrations!

Work was busy but the time passed quickly and it was great to dash home at 2pm and sort out all our ebay parcels to send off. Mike wanted to go to Brixworth so we dropped him off but I decided not to go to the post office there as sometimes they can be quite rude! We drove instead to Broughton but we'd timed our visit with the school run so the roads were packed with parked cars.

Feeling a bit fed up now I abandoned the idea and we pushed on to Tesco where we did some shopping for meals for the rest of the week. In the car I Googled nearby post offices and found one in the middle of Kettering so we headed there. The traffic was abysmal and when we eventually found the post office, there was no parking!

We headed back to Broughton and Keith sat in the car while I took all our parcels in to be posted. The service there is much friendlier and they don't mess about with weighing and measuring the packages! As they were all prepaid, I pocketed the proof of postings and escaped!

Sophie and I cooked a veggie chilli tonight as we had loads of vegetables in the fridge and it was delicious. We cooked it slowly on the hob in our flame-proof casserole dish and enjoyed it with rice and nachos. Delicious!
