Phone niggles!

Well, we didn't have any snow and today the weather has been cold and sunny. Work was OK and as soon as I got home Keith, Mike and I went to Tesco at Kettering. Mike came with us as he was desperate to get his phone sorted out as it wasn't working properly. We enquired in Tesco about an upgrade and we were horrified to learn that it would cost £487! He had only taken the new contract out last July and had shattered the screen shortly afterwards, and then we learnt that he'd dropped it again on Sunday which probably explained why it wasn't working!

We decided to pass on that option and went and did the shopping before going to a small business nearby that repairs iphones. They didn't have a screen in stock so we went back to Tesco where there was a branch of Timpson's. The man said it would be £89.99 to repair the screen (arrggh!) but we agreed to try this and see if by putting a new screen on the phone, it would sort out the problem.

While the screen was being fitted we had a cup of tea in Costa and chatted to Mike. It was a real treat to have his undivided attention for half an hour! Back at Timpson's the screen was fitted and the phone was working perfectly again. What a relief! I immediately took Mike into Tesco and bought him a new case and a screen protector for £22. Money well spent, I hope!

We arrived home at 5pm, unpacked the shopping and it wasn't long before Sophie arrived home from work and we could relax for the evening!
