A cosy night in

Sophie went to work early this morning, leaving just before I did. She is in on Monday for half a day and then travels down to Heathrow in the afternoon for her flight with Vikesh to Istanbul on Tuesday. I have to admit to being a little worried about her, due to the circumstances in the Middle East at the moment, but there's not a lot I can do!

I answered the phone at work when it was busy, but for most of the day I was answering emails. The time flew by, thankfully, and it was lovely to leave at four and look forward to the weekend.

Keith was at home again this Friday but should be back at the pub with John next week. He cooked dinner tonight - a North East favourite of corned beef, onions and potatoes served with crusty bread. It was perfect for a chilly night. We have been turning on our gas fire in the living room at night, and this warms up the kitchen as well, as long as we close the conservatory doors. It's so cosy, especially when the cats join us!

Sophie and I watched the last episode of Race Across the World this evening, with a glass of red wine and some nibbles, but after we'd eaten Keith wanted to watch England's game against Argentina in the Rugby Word Cup, so that was that! No film for us tonight!
