When I picked Mikey up from school today he was a bit quiet and subdued after spending his whole day in detention. I took both children to the local shop and bought them a little treat to eat on the way home and forget the one thing I needed to buy - some milk!
Mikey didn't go to Army Cadets tonight which was a bit of a relief as it meant I didn't have to cook dinner as early as I'd anticipated. It meant Keith and I could relax in the conservatory with a drink and play a couple of games of cards. The sky outside was looking very stormy and after dinner, when we were sitting in the living room watching all three episodes of "Prey" that had been shown recently, we heard growlings of thunder and the clouds turned a very funny colour indeed!
