Making a start!

After one day at work yesterday, I'm now facing three days off as I'm having to cover Saturday this weekend. First thing this morning Keith popped to Tesco to get our shopping for the next two days, and when he returned I prepared tonight's dinner of spaghetti bolognese, which involved much chopping of vegetables! It's all I seem to do these days!

Once the meal was all done I made a start on a load of shredding, in readiness for our recycling bins to be emptied this week. We still had half a large bin full of our business paperwork still to shred, so I made a start on that, while Keith tackled our own papers. Funnily enough, the invoices and documents from the business dated back to 2014, the year of the blog that I'm transferring to a word document at the moment. It was very poignant looking at invoices, and specifically Tesco receipts to see what we'd bought seven years ago when everything was so different to how it is now.

Of course, the two shredders we were using kept over-heating and stopping so progress was slow! It did make us feel like we were getting things done, though! After getting Mike from work we put everything into the conservatory so we could carry on tomorrow. If the weather on Wednesday is as sunny as today, we'll do it in there!

While dinner was cooking in the oven we had a very pleasant hour spent playing cards in the conservatory. Outside it was a beautiful sunny evening and the room was warm! It's lovely to sit in there, staring up at the blue sky and enjoying the longer days!
