Storm clouds gather.

We had an hour to kill again today as Mike started college at 9.30am and Sophie started work at 10.30am. Mike's new hours are much better as it means we miss all the school traffic!

Before we took Sophie to work we went to the Weston Favell centre and shopped for Tuesday and Wednesday. Keith was planning to go and see Sileby play on Tuesday evening so Sophie and I decided to have Jerk Chicken Pasta for dinner...it's always either that or meatballs! Heavens knows what would happen if he went out every Tuesday night!

Back home I tackled the downstairs cleaning and shredded a lot of papers, some of which had been for the holiday, which was a bit sad. We have learned in the news that now Hurricane Maria is heading for the Caribbean and may affect the islands already ravaged by Irma.

After work I went to collect Sophie and overhead the clouds were very dark indeed. I was a little early for her so I chatted to her as she mopped the floor. When we emerged from the building it was like night and the rain pelted down as we drove home. It was torrential and already parts of the road were flooding!
