Although today started out beautiful and sunny, the weather changed and it became overcast and cloudy, which was a shame! We decided to drive over to the new Rushden Lakes shopping centre to have a look. We weren't going to get out of the car; I was just curious to see what was happening there.
I have to say we were very impressed! There was a large M&S, New Look, Primark, Boots and lots of other shops including House of Fraser with a Mac concession, which pleased Sophie very much! Perhaps we now won't have to trek all the way over to Milton Keynes! Despite it being a Wednesday morning the car parks were filling up and we could see hoardings advertising more shops to open in the near future. There's also plans for a cinema and lots more restaurants. We will definitely be going back!
Sophie felt a bit unwell in the afternoon which was worrying so I advised her to have a nap and see if she felt better. Rather than walk down to the school, Keith dropped me off, but I was very relieved to see her at 6pm when they came to pick me up! She said she felt a lot better so maybe she just needed a sleep and a cup of tea! That cures everything!
