Wet Sunday!

Well, the rain that we didn't get yesterday we certainly got today! It bucketed it down all morning and our local roads started to flood with all the water coming off the fields.

Sophie texted me to say she was going to Woburn Safari park today and I wished her luck with the weather! Keith and I sloshed over to Tesco and then called in to see Mum and Dad on the way home. They were as disappointed with the weather as we were! No getting out into the garden today!

Back home we had no choice but to mooch about the house and I did some research on my family tree, something I haven't done for ages. There are still so many loose threads that I can't tidy up and trying to delve deeper just ends in frustration.

As well as doing a little research I did mounds of laundry and even ironed, which is normally Keith's job!

Sophie let me know in the afternoon that they were in Milton Keynes having a late lunch at Zizzi and she was home by the early evening. She'd had a great time and the bonnet of her car was covered in muddy monkey footprints where the little devils had clambered all over her car!

Dinner tonight was roast pork with fabulous crackling cooked by Keith. Delicious!
