Getting close!

I was really busy at work today and had loads of admin jobs to keep me occupied. At 2pm I dashed home and became stuck in the roadworks at the Round Spinney roundabout...these are due to be on all over the winter, which is a total pain as it means I have to take a longer detour to get home. Grrr! They're on because the dual carriageway is being extended from the A43 to the roundabout which will make things easier in the future but it's a nuisance at the moment!

When I got home Keith was looking a bit fed up as he had been confined to the house all day and the constant banging and clattering had started to get to him. He was also chief tea boy and was a bit tired of listening to the loud music they were playing! It'll all be worth it in the end!

We went over to Tesco straight away as we needed food for tonight and tomorrow and he just wanted to get out of the house. We had a good mooch about in the supermarket and I was astonished to see so many vegan products on offer.

When we'd finished Keith suggested going to Costa for a quick coffee as he still didn't want to go home!

When we arrived back the men had gone so we went upstairs to have a look at what they'd done:

They told Keith they'd be finished tomorrow and the loo is in, in its new place! The room looked bigger! I can't wait to decorate and buy things for the bathroom! The skip has gone, thank goodness, so at least we can park our cars back on the driveway!

Dinner tonight was a delicious chicken in a sticky teriyaki sauce served with noodles and then we settled down to watch The Americas with Simon Reeve, which was very interesting, if a little sobering!
