Tedious car journeys...

It's been another very warm and sultry day with thunderstorms forecast for tonight and into tomorrow. Work was OK and again, it was pleasantly busy with lots of bookings and people asking what time the swimming pools were open!

I left at 2pm, filled ET up with some petrol and headed home, only to find roadworks on the A43 and bin men driving slowly, which made for a tedious journey home! We sat and watched the Tour de France in the afternoon, which was very enjoyable as they were climbing in the Pyrenees and then had a stupendous descent at the end of the race! I was amazed at the speeds they were going down the mountain!

Mike wanted a lift to Moulton so we had another tedious journey, coming across tractors and horseboxes crawling along at a snail's pace. In Moulton, the main road through the village was closed because of roadworks so we dropped Mike off and headed home. By now we were seeing some lightning and hearing a distant boom of thunder so Keith asked for a lift to the pub. It was lovely to finally get home and relax!
