Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning...

It's been a very windy and rough day today. I took this picture first thing this morning, just before the sun rose at 7.54am...

The clouds were only very briefly a bright shade of pink but it was gorgeous. The photo doesn't do justice to the real colours of the sky!

Mike was at an army course at Gibraltar Barracks today so Keith dropped him off at 8am and came back a bit windblown! During the course of the day our fence in the garden was wobbling very dangerously and the trellis with the Jasmine was hanging by a thread so Keith went out and remedied both problems until the weather calms down a bit and we can make more permanent repairs.

I think it's Storm Desmond that is now affecting parts of Ireland and Scotland but although it's very windy here in the Midlands, we haven't had any weather warnings yet. At least it's still mild!
