Damp Sunday

Today the weather has been terrible, with grey leaden skies and a nasty drizzle that put an end to all plans to go out for a walk or get into the garden.

Sophie's friend Danni was coming around in the afternoon so I concentrated on tidying up our messy conservatory and sorting out all the stuff that was still sitting on the sofas. I put the unsold books on the window-sill, took a load of DVDs and CDs into a box to store in the garage and asked Sophie to sort out the cuddly toys she didn't want so we could take them to the tip.

By the time I'd finished the room was back to its lovely, tidy self and Sophie was over the moon at the difference I'd made. I carried on cleaning downstairs while Keith took Mikey to have his hair cut and then on to see his mates in Brixworth.

The weather didn't improve at all until the early evening when we went to collect Mike and we did see a bit of sunshine, albeit briefly!

Dinner tonight was pulled pork but we didn't really have the right joint for it (we'd bought belly pork) but it was still delicious served with crusty baguettes and new potatoes!
