Car success!

Keith had to take Sophie and me to work today as, although the jump leads had arrived yesterday, her car was facing the wrong way and it would have been difficult to get it off the drive to jump-start it from the VW. He was going to drop Sophie at work and call to see Glen in Moulton and ask his advice.

Jo was back from her holiday today and looked tanned and relaxed. The relaxation disappeared as the phone calls started to come in, though! The phones were busy today and almost non-stop. I helped out when they mounted up and managed to put on another week's swim camps as well as dealing with as many emails as I could.

Keith texted me in the morning to say that Gomez had returned home, which was nothing short of a miracle! I had imagined him staying away for days again! Sophie was tremendously relieved, so all we need to do now is keep him in until Wednesday when we're due to go to the vet surgery at Potterspury.

At 4pm, we drove down to Brackmills and sat in a hot car until 4.30pm when Sophie finished. Her manager had very kindly given her Wednesday off as a "well-being" day, which was most appreciated! I think, at the moment with all that's going on with work, her car and the cats, it's needed!

When we arrived home, Keith took Sophie outside and started the car! Glen had given him a battery booster, and Keith had driven ET to Moulton for it to be fitted with a new battery. Success!
