Wet weekend...

Yesterday, when Mike appeared and said his throat still hurt, I asked Keith to make him an appointment at the doctor's. It turned out he had tonsillitis and was given antibiotics, a spray to ease the pain and told to take paracetamol or Ibuprofen.

This morning he seemed a little better but I told him to stay in the house and not even think about going out! The weather today has been terrible with constant rain, grey skies and a chilly wind. What happened to those glorious days of last week? Apparently, it's set to get colder over the next few days and we have a weather warning out for heavy rain on Monday. Wonderful...

We took Sophie to work as we needed to get the newspaper and some more soup for Mike as that's all he can eat at the moment. Back home we had toasted crumpets for breakfast and then I caught up with all the little things I need to do on a Saturday! All plans for going out into the garden or washing the cars were put on hold!

I did see a little bit of brightness in the afternoon but that was swiftly replaced by more grey skies and heavy clouds. When I went to collect Sophie from work it looked like it was going to lash down! Oh well, we'll appreciate the warm summer days when they eventually arrive!
