Running errands...

I have to confess to going back to bed this morning after I saw Sophie off to the gym... only for a couple of hours! It is my day off!

We had arranged with our daughter to meet her for lunch today, and she wanted us to post a parcel to Zain for her, so after showering and getting ready we set off for the main delivery office in Crow Lane. The car park and all the surrounding roads were clogged with vehicles. I was so glad I didn't work somewhere with limited parking! Once that was sent off, we made our way down to Brackmills and met Sophie at work. We managed to get to Cafe 900 just in time as after we'd ordered, a huge queue formed!

We enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch and walked Sophie back at 1pm. I then wanted to go to B&Q to buy a shelf for the tiny laundry room we've created. It wasn't as easy as I'd imagined but we managed to find a dark grey wooden shelf and some wood to support it.

The weather today has been very disappointing with heavy clouds and a chilly wind. We returned home and pottered about doing jobs for the rest of the afternoon, and Keith prepared a lot of the ingredients for Sophie to help with our dinner this evening.

He went to the football again, and Sophie cooked a delicious chicken and tomato pasta dish which had vodka as an ingredient! With slices of garlic bread, it was a lovely meal! After we'd eaten we watched Masterchef and Keith came home a little early, freezing cold to the bone, bless him!
