The end is in sight!

We're into the last week of the school holidays now, and that's a huge relief! The time has gone very quickly, though!

Our wallboard was down this morning so we had no idea of how many calls were coming through. Sometimes, that can be a good thing! It went a bit mad for the first hour and then slowed down so I was able to do the box office returns and then put some new films onto the system.

At 4pm I sped home and did an hour's housework. Keith had been shopping and we'd decided to barbecue this evening after seeing the weather was going to improve. When Sophie came home we sat and played Scrabble with a glass of wine but we didn't finish the game as it was time to cook! I used the induction hob for the first time and cooked new potatoes, stir-fried vegetables and onions.

Keith had done another fab job with the meal and we enjoyed hot dog sausages, marinated chicken, sweetcorn as well as the veggies I'd prepared. Cooking was so easy and everything was within reach so we seem to have made the right decisions with the storage! The only issue we're having at the moment is the new tumble dryer. With our lovely old one, we knew how long to set the timer for and how long it has to go, but with the new one, we are still getting used to it and Sophie's clothes tonight took ages to dry!
