All done!

Day 24 of kitchen renovation.

I was itching to get work over and done with today, and start the weekend! Luckily, time passed quickly and although there was a lull halfway through the morning, it became a bit manic towards the end of the shift with lots of people booking football and bowls pitches, something I really dislike doing!

I arrived home to find the kitchen was finished! Now, we just need to get the walls, skirting boards and doors painted, find a cushion for the bench seat and invest in a few new things. It goes without saying we are over the moon with how it's turned out! It's amazing that in just over three weeks we've gone from this:

To this!

Although there were times when the cramped conditions in the conservatory got to us, the experience hasn't been as bad as I feared, and the men employed by Highfields have been brilliant, giving us everything (and more) of what we asked for. If we ever do another project in the future, then we will be straight back to them.

Keith and Mike went to the pub tonight, while Sophie and I kept an eye on the chilli con Carne for dinner and watched the first episode of Nine Perfect Strangers. It was great to see the book by Liane Moriarty come to life with Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy!
