A day of rest...

It was lovely to have a lie-in this morning and I didn't wake up until almost 8.30am! Heaven! Unfortunately we awoke to a grey and misty day with no sunshine at all. I looked back on that sunny morning in Wimereux with fond memories!

After getting ready we headed out to Tesco to buy dinner for tonight and popped into Mum and Dad's on the way home as they wanted to see Sophie and wish her Happy Birthday. They had laid on Prosecco and cake so it was all lovely and festive. My parents were delighted with the little gifts we brought them back, although they were all bought in this country as we really didn't do any shopping in France.

Back home we caught up with mounds of washing, ironing and preparation for dinner (Sophie did most of the work). We made a version of "Le Welsh" for lunch but it wasn't the same! The cheese was much thinner and didn't have the same taste so I'd love to find out what variety they use!

In the late afternoon it started to rain so we put off a walk and stayed indoors. Sophie and I did the dinner - the steaks in gravy that always turns out to be delicious and tonight was no exception. Instead of frites, though, we did loads of vegetables and mashed potatoes!
