A lovely day!

Today the sun shone brightly and after getting up a little later than normal (but not hungover at all) Keith, Sophie and I went for a lovely walk down to the nature reserve. It was very cold and frosty but the sky was a clear blue and it was wonderful to see the sun shining.

On the way home we called Mike to see if he was ready to come home and when we went to get the Sunday newspaper in Brixworth we picked him up. After breakfast, Sophie decorated the white tree in the living room and it looked gorgeous when she finished.

We then both decorated the green tree (our Scandinavian tree) in the conservatory.

By now, the house was looking really festive! I'd put up a wreath on the front door yesterday and had managed to intertwine some battery-powered lights around it so I was really pleased as it looks lovely. I'd also put some lights on our little Christmas tree by the door and Keith and I put yet more lights on the Cherry tree in the front garden.

The icicles that normally hang from the front window have been put along the rafter in the conservatory and are intertwined with our hearts...it looks beautiful!

Sophie said it was a "hot chocolate kind of day" so we drove over to Broughton and I bought some chocolate, squirty cream and marshmallows. Here's the result:

Naughty but very delicious!
As the sun went down I was really happy with our decorations and pleased that this year we'd had a bit of a change around!
