Hi Janie,
What a beautiful walk with all the snow and trees.
Would it be possible to rughly say where your walk is? as it looks a beautiful peaceful place for a stroll..

Thanks

Hi Wendy

We took the farm track (Bridle Road in the village of Old) that leads down to Pitsford Nature reserve. From here you can wander over the fields to your heart's content.

If you want to walk in the Nature reserve (which is loosely fenced off) you can get a yearly permit from Anglian Water for a small fee. It's very quiet and much more peaceful than the other side of the reservoir which gets very busy with cyclists, walkers and joggers when the weather's nice.

The thing I like about this walk is that you're quite high up and you can see a few of the surrounding villages and all the landscape, woods and fields. It was bliss yesterday!

Hope this helps and if you see us, say hello!! We'll be the ones, sadly, without dogs unless we borrow Max!

Hi Janie,

Many thanks for that.I shall show the piccys to my hubby Stuart and he can consult the OS maps as we have got them for the arears surrounding our village. We shall have to give that one a go...

We have been round Pitsford Nature Reserve in the past and walked round the Nature Reserve from the fishing lodge but when we got our dog never went round there as she would have scared away the wildfowl...

We were over at the causeway on Christmas afternoon and had a walk in the snow and got some great photos of the sunset and also the swans...

Not sure if you are interested but there has been a flock of Waxwings flying around Sainsburys and Pets at Home car parks and we raced to see them Christmas Eve.They were lovely to see..

We always say hello to people we meet when we are out walking, one reason why a walk takes us a long time...

Thanks once again
Wendyxx
