Things were back to normal at work on Thursday so mum and I were able to travel down to Kent to see Nan. We had a great chat about old times and then drove to Stone to see if we could find where the Lamb Inn used to be and the village of Farningham which was very pretty. The heavens opened as we were driving and we couldn't find the address of the pub so we drove to Farningham which we all loved. It's a gorgeous village with typical Kent cottages and a pretty river running through the middle. It's definitely somewhere we'll head back to soon.
Nan loved talking about her family and I discovered that two of her aunts moved to Australia (mum still writes to a cousin there) and one of them married an Aborigine! That will definitely need more looking into!
