A busy day!

Today has been very busy at the Citizens Advice Bureau and I've really enjoyed it, which is great as the last couple of weeks have been quiet with not a lot happening.

We had a visit from Tina first thing and she asked us to telephone people who had booked appointments for tomorrow, to ensure they were going to show up and also to ask the clients if they wanted to take part in a short online survey about their experience with us.

We had Bill in as one of the advisers and he is very efficient and whips through the clients quickly, which is how it should be. The assessments should only really last about ten minutes as then we can point them in the right direction or make appointments for a longer time. We had a couple of emotional clients in this morning but I suppose it's the time of year with post-Christmas blues rearing their ugly heads.

As usual, the weather was beautiful and I managed to have a short walk at lunchtime to get some fresh air as our office can get a bit stuffy! Things overran a bit in the afternoon as we had a new adviser in and some of the issues were more complicated but I was walking out at about 3.15pm which wasn't too bad.

We played cards in the conservatory before dinner although Sophie and I were a bit subdued as we have decided to not have any alcohol during the week. Having said that, Sue is coming over for wine and nibbles tomorrow so I will fall off the wagon then!
