Victory at last!

It's been another very quiet day at work and we closed just before the football started at 3pm. The temperature in my car said it was 29 degrees and we've decided to hire an air conditioning unit for a few weeks to alleviate the worst of the heat in the building. It seems incredible that a few months ago we had to hire a heater to warm the place up! We really need to look into a suspended ceiling for the seating area next year to get some better insulation.

Soph and I drove home at 3pm and I watched the match with Keith. Driving home was certainly no fun! I think the crazy drivers were out and all trying to get home before the match started! But at least we won and will be playing again on Sunday.

As it was so hot, the roast chicken dinner we had planned went by the wayside and we just had warm chicken baps. Way too hot to cook Yorkshire puddings and roasty potatoes!
