It was horrible this morning to see torrential rain and grey skies after the brilliant sunshine of our weekend. We took Sophie to school and then went for breakfast at Frankie and Benny's in Kettering before heading to Tesco to get some essential supplies. By the time we got home the rain had cleared and the rest of the day was a bit better but I really did miss Berlin and the freedom we had over the weekend!
To make matters worse I had a dentist appointment in the afternoon with the children so we had to deal with that (always scary) and then we called into the chemist as Mikey was complaining about a sore finger. The chemist had a quick look and said he had an infection in it, so we went off to our GP's surgery to see the nurse who gave us some cream to put on it and a great pile of bandages.
Keith had decided to walk down to the pub as we didn't arrive home until after 6pm, something he really didn't feel like doing as our feet are still sore from all the exercise they had in Berlin!
