My Goodness... the screaming!

After a decent lie-in, today has been spent mostly catching up with things we didn't do yesterday! We did mounds of washing, cleaned the house, and got things ready for the working week. Keith popped into Tesco to buy this evening's dinner: simple cold meats, salad, and new potatoes.

Sophie also cut the ends of my hair, which was lovely and relaxing! I applied a colour to my roots and enjoyed a clay face mask so there was a bit of pampering, too!

All hopes were pinned on the big match this afternoon between Newcastle and Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. The pressure was definitely on Newcastle, as we kept getting reminders they hadn't won any trophies for quite a few years! Keith was fed up with being reminded of this and kept shouting at the screen!
I think they more than deserved to win!

I sat with Keith and Sophie in the living room while the game was on, but preferred to read. I have never heard so much screaming when Newcastle scored the first of their two goals! Poor Mooney nearly had a heart attack! When they went on to win, Sophie leapt on top of Keith and hugged him. What a wonderful result and so much deserved!

I prepared the dinner and we sat and discussed the game while we ate. I think the celebrations in Newcastle will be going on long into the night!
