Keith had to take me to work again because he had a hygienist appointment at his dentist this morning. He wasn't looking forward to it, and neither Sophie nor I are looking forward to when we get called in for a check-up. From going regularly every six months for decades with my lovely dentist (who then dared to retire) I haven't been since before covid... and I'm not looking forward to it!
Work was stressful today, and both Jo and Angela were particularly loud. We have a big change coming up next week and Sheila had to show us all how the new system would look, so I answered calls more than usual. It also dawned on me that the after-school activities and tots' sessions we organise were ending around the 31st of this month, and I will be away the week before... it means I will need to get them on before I go! As well as new playscheme places, the normal holiday activities and the swim camps! When am I going to get all this done? Arrghhh!
I felt drained when I emerged into the late afternoon and drove home with Keith. Even getting home was an ordeal! It was bliss to get back and relax for a while before dinner, which was very simple tonight. After we'd eaten, Sophie and I went upstairs and watched the last ten minutes of Michael Portillo in Portugal and an episode of the new Come Dine With Me. Keith was glued to the football, watching Liverpool versus Paris Saint-Germain, and hoping that some of the Liverpool players would get suspended before their game with Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Sunday!
