The first day of a new week dawned, and it was back to the usual routine. Work was busy, and I cleared all the emails before I had to take over on the phones just before 3pm.
Before I left work, I noticed that one of our neighbours was really getting into the Halloween spirit and had hung a witch figure from the tree in her garden. She has two sons, so no doubt they were getting excited.
When I drove into the estate, she looked very spooky, dangling from the tree!
Our neighbour had asked on our Facebook page if anyone objected, but there was unanimous support from everyone, and it was just a bit of fun!
Back home, Keith said one of the cats had been on the sofa in the conservatory all afternoon, and I assumed it was Mooney, but it was actually Gomez! He looked at me warily when I stroked him, which made me sad. Their personalities have changed in the two years that we've had them, as Mooney always seemed to be the more timid of the two, but he has really blossomed now and is a much more confident cat. In the house anyway!
Both cats went out before Sophie came home, and Gomez stayed out until almost midnight, driving poor Sophie mad with worry. This was because he'd been in all afternoon, asleep! He really is a monkey!
