Results Day!

Sophie came running down the stairs this morning delighted that she'd had a text from Nottingham Trent University offering her a place to do Law! This meant that she'd achieved her grades in her A levels so she was very pleased indeed!

We had a very busy morning as at 9am we had an appointment with the Orthodontist to have her retainer fitted. She'll have to wear this almost all of the time to make sure her lovely straight teeth stay that way! She wasn't keen on wearing the plastic. see-through retainer though, but you can hardly see it and it'll be worth it if her teeth stay beautiful!

We popped back to work for a few minutes and then it was off to the school to pick up her results. She came out with her envelope but her face fell a bit when she saw her grades. She'd done very well in Business by achieving a B, but she attained a C in Photography and a D in Psychology which she was very disappointed with, especially as she'd done so much work on her portfolio of photographs. However, she still had a place at University which she will defer until next year and this will give her some time to think about what she really wants to do and whether it's the right decision for her.

Work was busy as we'd had early rain showers, but by the afternoon the sun came out and we quietened down. I went over to the bank and called into Timpson's to try and get some photographs printed of Max as I'd promised them to Sarah. I wanted four on one A4 page so the very helpful woman in the shop printed them off and then stuck them together to scan. Unfortunately, his head was cut off a bit on one of them so we decided to just keep the four together and when I got back to work I laminated them. I have to admit they looked lovely and Sarah was delighted with them.

After work Keith and I drove to Broughton to pick up the Audi which had been in for its MOT - her Birthday is on Monday!

Sophie was off out with her friends this evening, celebrating Results Day, so we dropped her off at her friend's house in Moulton at 9pm...I will be glad when she's back home tomorrow!
