Tea and gossip!

I woke up at 6.30am this morning and realised that Sophie wasn't going to the gym. Her bedroom door was still closed, and when I knocked, she woke up with a gasp as her alarm had been turned off. And she would have gone to the gym, as well! She hastily went to shower while I made myself a coffee and eased into the day slowly!

All plans to get out into the garden this morning were abandoned because of the wet weather. Keith and I popped to Brixworth to get a cake and a newspaper at the Co-Op, and then we returned home to do some housework and the normal Wednesday chores.

At 2pm, my friend and neighbour, Michelle, came over for a cup of tea and a slice of the Bakewell tart cake I'd bought. We sat in the kitchen and chatted for three hours while Keith watched the snooker in the living room. We would have sat in the conservatory if the sun had been shining, but the kitchen was warm and cosy. It was lovely to sit and have a good chat with Michelle, as I don't see her regularly because of our busy lives. Mooney came in for a cuddle and eyed up the treats Michelle had brought with her. We have two spoiled cats!
