A wet Bank Holiday

The glorious Easter weather ended today, and it was raining when Sophie took me to work at 8.30am. She carried on to the gym to take part in a yoga class while I started work. I was working with Jo today, and my shift was every bit as I expected - busy with calls about swimming, noisy, and nowhere near as enjoyable as Friday and Saturday. We took about 120 calls, so double that of the previous days I'd worked. It just shows what a difference the weather makes!

Sophie picked me up at 2pm and we sloshed along the A43 to Kettering to collect my Mum and take her to Tesco. We had coffee first and chatted before going shopping and buying some items Mum needed. The rain hadn't stopped, and we got soaked running to the car!

We dropped Mum off, had a chat with my Dad and headed home to relax. As Sophie had been off work today, she had completed all the tiresome chores for the working day tomorrow, so that was a bonus.

We enjoyed the tangle pie again for dinner, livened up with vegetables and roast potatoes and relaxed after dinner. It's back to normal tomorrow!

A  beautiful rainbow this evening:
