Road repairs

I was back at my desk at work today, while Sara sorted out the customer service emails. I did all the box office returns and then spent the rest of my shift working on the moan report. It was way overdue, but everyone understood why! I  had to use Sara's laptop to look at the February emails, so I was working on three screens!

Keith picked me up at 4pm and we trundled home, driving via Hannington as the road between Walgrave and Holcot was closed for "surface dressing." We were hoping that the multitude of potholes along this stretch would be fixed, as the road is appalling to drive on. Sophie was able to use the road on her way home as the workmen had all left for the day, and she said that some areas had been repaired.

Keith and I played cards this evening, and he beat me soundly. Every time I tried to get a good set of cards, he won a hand. Grrrr! We played two games before I cooked the dinner, putting the bubble and squeak into the oven to bake for a change. Again, it was a delicious dinner with enough chicken left over for sandwiches.

Our viewing entertainment tonight was Tempting Fortune again. We're well and truly hooked!
