A pleasant end to the working week!

Things were back to normal this morning, and Sophie went to the gym. I was facing a full day at work and hoped to get as much done as I could. Over a hundred emails were waiting for me. It felt a bit daunting, but Vicki helped again and I steadily worked through them until my shift ended.

It was a very pleasant day in the office, though, and there was a great atmosphere. I do enjoy my job, and with all the things we need to do at the moment, the time is flying by!

When Sophie arrived home this evening, we opened a bottle of Austrian wine - Unearthed Gemischter Satz from Aldi (£8.99). It was the same wine as one of the bottles we tried in the wine bar in Vienna and was delicious. We had a few nibbles with the wine and watched the first couple of episodes of Tempting Fortune that we'd recorded. I was amazed at the selfishness of one participant, but I did wonder whether she was told to do what she did by the production crew?

Keith wasn't at the pub tonight, so he prepared our very simple supper of baked potatoes and salad. We are facing another long day tomorrow when we head up north to see Val. It will be an early morning again!
