Lazy Sunday

I wasn't up quite so late this morning, but I still managed a decent lie-in!  We went over to see Mum and Dad mid-morning and then came back for lunch of cold meats and salad again. There was enough left over from last night for a decent lunch, and we agreed to skip dinner this evening and enjoy the beef stroganoff tomorrow.

We didn't do a great deal today, and it was bliss to just relax and enjoy a proper lazy Sunday. Keith was watching football, and Sophie and I went upstairs to lie on the bed and watch television. I think I nodded off at one point!

While Sophie showered, I sat on the sofa with Mooney and read my book. He was very affectionate and grunty, and loved showing off his furry belly! When Sophie came downstairs, we played Scrabble, and I managed to beat her, much to her disgust! We then played a couple of games of cards, but 7pm found us sitting in the living room waiting for the Men's Open tennis from New York to start, between Sinner and Alcaraz, a replica of the Wimbledon Final.

President Trump was attending, so security was tight, and it held up the match by about forty minutes. We saw thousands of people queuing to get in, poor things! We watched for an hour or so, but it was obvious, right from the start, that Sinner wasn't going to beat Alcaraz tonight. We went to bed before it finished as it was back to work tomorrow!
