I tried to format my 2015 blog book, but I had real difficulty, which led to a lot of swearing! Sophie was with me in the kitchen doing mammoth preparations for her chicken tikka marsala meal. I have to say the aromas were gorgeous as she pulverised spices and cooked off peppers and onions.
It was a perfect drying day with sunshine and a lovely breeze, so I was able to get all of our laundry dried outside. I won't be doing that much longer! Tomorrow we have a weather warning for wind, but as usual, I don't take much notice of it anymore. I now see it as a sign that the weather won't be bad!
Keith went to see Sileby play in the afternoon, and I decided to break my rule of no television during the day and take a peek at a new drama on Channel 5 called The Rumour. Thirty minutes in, I was already doubting my decision, and I never made it to episode two!
I went back onto the computer, and this time I was successful with formatting the book and uploading it to a publishing website. By now, I was sick of scanning through 2015!
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing and enjoying Sophie's delicious curry. I could detect all the spices she'd used and was glad there was enough left for our lunches on Monday!
After we'd eaten, we sat and watched some of The Last Night of the Proms, with a small martini when we saw music from Hitchcock's film, The Man Who Knew Too Much. The music was good, but we still preferred the night we went when the music was outstanding!
