A good end to the week!

Sophie didn't go to the gym this morning, and we sat and watched The Hotel Inspector with the excellent Alex Polizzi. She certainly tells it as it is, and with this episode, she was tackling a pub with rooms, and a landlord obsessed with pies! He reminded me of the Irish actor, Colin Farrell!

At work, I finally made inroads into the emails, and by 4pm, they were down to single figures, with some of the old complaints finally answered. I must make a start on the playscheme places next week, though, so they can go live and be bookable by parents.

At 4pm, I sped home, and it was great to relax without any of the usual chores. Keith stayed at home tonight, and Sophie and I opened a bottle of Tonnerre white, a wine that I doubt you would be able to get in the UK. Tonnerre is next to Chablis, and we loved the wine, which was made from Chardonnay (as is Chablis). It had hints of vanilla and was creamy and delicious. The French must keep this all to themselves!

We started watching a documentary about a romance scam, and we both marvelled at how the poor women handed over such large amounts of money to a man who was supposedly already wealthy. Any mention of money in the early stages of a relationship is a big red flag! Run!

We watched a little of The Proms this evening and we're looking forward to seeing the last night tomorrow!
