Keith and I enjoyed leftover sweet and sour chicken for an early lunch, and we drove over to Kettering once we'd eaten. We went to B&M first to get a blind, but the choice was poor in the store; just five or six in either dark or light grey! Muttering about the visit being a waste of time, we drove to Tesco, deposited our recycling and bought a couple of things we needed.
Keith suggested going to Dunelm in Kettering, so we drove the short distance and had a much better choice, with some pretty blinds of all colours and patterns to choose from. We chose a wildflower design that would go well with the grey decor. Success!
Back home, Keith put it up for me while I washed the white struts on our driveway. I also plan to varnish the garage and front doors, and gloss the smaller garage door. That can wait for another day, though!
The rest of the afternoon was spent doing the usual Wednesday chores, but we didn't do the list as Keith will be going on Friday to do the shopping. One less thing to do!
Sophie cooked a delicious chicken and vegetable traybake for dinner tonight. Keith had prepared all the ingredients earlier in the day, so it was great to pop it in the oven and relax while it cooked!
