For breakfast, we enjoyed our delicious granola and yoghurt, and afterwards, Sophie and I went for a walk around "our" field and into the village. It was a beautiful day, but a lot cooler than of late, with a chilly wind blowing.

We decided to cut through the sheep field into the village, and the sheep looked at us with curiosity before ambling off.
It was a lovely walk and took us just under an hour. Back at the estate, Sophie called for Mooney, and he appeared from outside the house as if he'd been waiting for us. He accompanied us on a lap and miaowed and yowled the whole way around, constantly looking out for heaven knows what! He was a bit skittish, and every noise and rustle from the wind made him jump!
When we got home, I started cooking the Bolognese sauce for dinner tonight. Sophie had prepared the vegetables and assembled the other ingredients, so I just cooked everything and let it simmer on the hob. We decided to take Olive to be washed and buy the Sunday papers, and drove into Northampton. While we were waiting, we talked about Costa Rica again, and I checked TripAdvisor to see what the reviews were like. Several people mentioned that petty crime was quite bad in the country, and that rental houses had been broken into. They also advised against driving at night, so we might change our minds and stay in a hotel! As Keith wouldn't be coming with us, I said I didn't want to feel unsafe in a house on our own!
I finished off Olive's bodywork with a cloth back home while Sophie made lovely sandwiches for lunch. It was then time to relax for the rest of the afternoon, and I watched the last episode of Fake while Sophie gave me a manicure. I was a little disappointed with the last episode; the series just seemed to peter out!
The Bolognese had been simmering gently all afternoon, and we ate at about 6.30pm, enjoying a Californian red with the meal. Our viewing choice this evening was the last Beyond Paradise episode. Let's hope the BBC commissions another series!
