Today passed in a blur of activity, and I was glad we were all up reasonably early! Sophie had a long list of jobs to accomplish and steadily worked through them all day, bless her!
We managed to pack most of our clothes and sort anything that needed washing and ironing, as well as clean the house, do masses of laundry and write the shopping list. Keith prepared the ingredients for this evening's beef stroganoff, so we were all busy. Sophie cut my hair and painted my toenails and nails, so I felt well and truly pampered! We also applied face packs and watched A Place in the Sun to relax a little.
After this, Sophie put a colour on her hair which was darker than her normal shade. Her hair is thick, and after she'd rinsed it, she noticed some areas that hadn't taken. We sped over to Tesco and bought another two boxes so she'll be re-applying it tomorrow! From Tesco, we visited Mum and Dad and sat with them for an hour. My Dad had been to the pub for a drink to celebrate Father's Day, which I was pleased about. It's so good for him to get out of their stuffy room.
I tried to get the conversation going by asking my Dad why he decided to drive us abroad to Spain in 1980, but he was a little vague. It's because of those early driving holidays that I love motoring abroad as well!
Back home, we pottered about, and Sophie thrashed me at Scrabble this evening! She cooked a delicious beef stroganoff, and we watched the first season of The Bridge after we'd eaten. I have forgotten who the murderer was, and I was happy to see it again, especially as Kim Bodnia is in it... swoon!
While Sophie was trying to get the cats to come in, she got chatting to a random motorcyclist, who was a little weird... luckily, she was in the house and speaking through the window, as I would not have been happy if she'd been outside and talking to him! Apparently, he said he had twenty cats of his own. Hmmm!
