Keith made a great job of cleaning the oven, and I tidied up our messy hallway cupboard where all our coats and shoes live. We had a cull of various coats, with some of them re-locating to the wardrobe upstairs. I don't know how we lived before we created this cupboard in the hallway, although I do remember shoes being chucked into the kitchen cupboard (which is now our utility "room") and our coats hanging on the cloakroom door! I hoovered the cupboard, disturbing a couple of spiders who were lurking there, probably all nice and cosy in the darkness!
Keith went to see Sileby play in the afternoon and I pootled about, enjoying the peace and quiet and having a lovely bath. When he came home at 5pm, he dashed into the living room to turn on the television to watch Newcastle, but that soon ended when Liverpool scored twice in the first fifteen minutes. He turned off the television in disgust!
Sophie arrived home at about 6pm and we sat and had a good chat about her day over a glass of wine. She'd had a lovely time but the gallery was busy and a lot of rooms were closed. My favourite painting - Susanna At Her Bath by Francesco Hayez - had been moved and Sophie thinks it was being exhibited elsewhere.
It was too late to play Scrabble so it was lovely just to chat instead. Keith and I enjoyed very good Wagyu beefburgers for dinner, which were deliciously meaty and afterwards we caught up on another couple of episodes of Luther. We have calculated we can watch the remaining series and episodes by next Thursday!
