A busy day!

I was at the CAB today but had to leave early as Keith had a hospital appointment at 4pm. We had a steady day with no real rushes of people coming in and by 2pm I was walking back to my car.

Mike had to go and see the manager of the pub he's going to be working at, so I collected him from college and we drove over to the village not far from where we live. I urged him to try and be quick as I really wanted to go to the hospital with Keith and luckily he was out within half an hour.

We sped home and picked up Keith and Sophie but Mike elected to stay at home, which later on I came to regret! We dashed off to the hospital and managed to park easily before taking our seats in the Integrated Surgery waiting room. The consultant that Keith was seeing was running forty minutes late and we eventually went in to see him at just after 5pm.

Everything was fine, he said, and the results from the CT scan were clear which was a great relief to us all. He examined Keith's tummy because he still has a lump on the scar but said it wasn't a worry but that they could do something about it at a later date. He then said we needed to book another CT scan for July and a chest x-ray in the Autumn.

By now it was about 5.30pm and I was beginning to regret leaving Mike at home as we had planned on going to The Lamplighter for a meal and we had to drive all the way back home to get Mike and then back into town again!

We had a lovely meal at the pub and we were there for the start of the weekly quiz. We enjoyed garlic bread to start followed by nachos and beef for Mike, chilli con carne for me, fish and chips for Keith (what a surprise!) and a beefburger for Sophie. We shared two desserts of chocolate brownie and a sticky toffee pudding and Keith and Mike had a good few pints over the course of the evening!

Back home it was into comfy clothes and Wednesday's episode of Masterchef!
