A busy day!

Keith and I were up and out early this morning as we wanted to get the shopping done before it got too late. We were done and back by 10am and after unpacking and grabbing a bite to eat we took Sophie into uni. First of all though, she had to pop into work as they were doling a DBS check for her and we had to photocopy her passport and birth certificate.

Back home we changed into our old gardening clothes and headed next door, accompanied by Monty cat. Keith took quite a while to mow the long grass while I weeded the patio and the borders. Mark, our friendly window-cleaner, also arrived as Sarah had asked him to wash all the guttering and soffits.

While we were working away, Sarah arrived as I think they had a viewing. We had a chat and then it was back to work! Thankfully today has been dry but cool and cloudy, perfect for gardening! By the time we'd finished everything was beginning to look lovely again. Mark had made an excellent job of the windows and all the guttering, the garden looked lovely and we'd disposed of the dead squirrel that was in a dustbin and buried it under the trees! The robin had been with us all the time and loved looking for little grubs and worms!

Keith took Mike to an interview at a local pub and when they returned he said he had to go back next week to meet the manager. Hooray! It would be great if Mike was earning some money!

I just had time to go home, eat some chocolate from one of my Easter eggs and go and pick Sophie up from uni. When we arrived back home it was time for a long bath and a snooze on the bed while watching Pointless. Bliss!
