Rat be gone!

Keith went for a walk this morning after we dropped Mike off at school while I returned home to clean the house. Sophie is virtually finished university now but still had an assignment to write so she sat in the conservatory doing that while I got on with the housework.

Once I'm in the mood to clean I don't mind and it was lovely seeing the house go from messy to clean and gleaming! At lunchtime we had a visit from the pest control man we used to see when we had the business as the traps we've set for the rat are definitely not working. He is just laughing in our faces!

Pete arrived and put down about five or six bait boxes which are safe for pets and our lovely bird visitors. He said he would return in a week to check them and then quoted us his price which was a bit of a shock! He said two visits are £110 but he would do us a discount...I hope so after we've been employing his services for so long! We wish now we'd just bought the exact same boxes in B&Q for £15! Hey ho!

Mike stayed after school for a revision session and after picking him up we went to the Weston Favell Centre to have our passport photos taken. Keith's, Mike's and my passport run out next month and we need to get them renewed. We've never left it so late! We had the pictures taken (yuk!!) and asked our friend and neighbour Paul to sign the back of Mike's as he has changed appearance from five years ago. This will be his first adult passport and will be with him until he's 26!
