Pennies from Heaven!

We were woken in the night by bright flashes of lightening and accompanying thunder which sounded very close!

The thunderstorms lasted for most of the morning which meant we were busy at work! It was gratefully received! What a difference the weather makes to our business.

In the evening I went out for a meal with Lynda, Sue from over the road and Laura. Unfortunately Laura had a bit of a bump in her car on the way over to us which held us up slightly, but the Old Bakehouse in Rothwell kindly held our table for us. We opted to sit outside in the courtyard and although the sky looked a bit stormy, the rain didn't materialise.

The food was delicious and was Greek/Mediterranean with lots of feta cheese, olives and sun-dried tomatoes on the menu. We all shared a platter of different starters to begin with (calamari, flat bread, olives, stuffed peppers, etc) then Laura and Sue opted for the feta cheese and spinach pie, while Lynda and I went for more chickeny dishes which were beautifully cooked and presented. Three of us shared a bottle of Shiraz but we had no room left for dessert, so maybe next time!
