While we were in Berlin my Nan had to go into hospital as she has an infection in her leg. Mum promised that we would go and see her today and when we walked into the ward she was really very fed-up and tearful. After we sorted her out, though, and delivered some goodies we'd brought from her flat she cheered up a lot. Her leg looked very swollen and red but she may be allowed home towards the end of the week.
I absolutely hate hospitals and I would do anything rather than go in one! It just makes me all the more determined to stay as healthy and fit as possible!
We stayed with Nan until 4pm making sure she had everything she needed and saying that we would try and come down later in the week. We both felt horrible leaving her there but she really is in the best place until she can become more mobile again.
The journey home was very good indeed until we turned off the motorway at Northampton and became embroiled in a long traffic jam...typical!
