A tramp over the fields

We had talked about going to London today but the weather was damp and dismal so we decided to put it off until the weather improves a bit.

Keith and I went for a walk, though, leaving the children at home. We extended our normal route and we were out for almost two hours which was great. The rain held off and although it was chilly, it was very invigorating to be out in the fresh air.

After lunch Sophie and I went for a swim (I should be stick-thin!) and then had a very pleasant half hour in the steam room and the sauna, punctuated by dips in the jacuzzi. Outside it was getting dark early so it was lovely to get home and curl up on the sofa with a glass of wine. I think I deserved it!
